Can’t wait until Hari Raya to savour delicious lemang? You don’t have to!

Great news, foodies! You can now fill up with some classic raya goodness when you fly to balik kampung (visit homeland) this festive season. Back by popular demand, Lemang with Chicken Rendang is now served at more than 30,000 feet up in the air when you fly with AirAsia!

1. The unofficial number one Hari Raya dish

Young and old, foodie or not, most would agree that lemang is the quintessential dish of the festive season. This traditional Malay fare made from glutinous rice and coconut milk is light on the mouth yet filling on the tummy, with a high chance of invoking the sweet nostalgia of your Hari Raya memories.

2. A complete meal for your flight

Enjoy your flight with a power-packed meal! The lemang pieces come with flavourful and tender chicken curry on the side and topped with serunding, delicious meat floss made with chicken and spices for that extra kick.

3. Prepared with passion

The meal is part of an extensive menu prepared by Santan, AirAsia’s ‘inflight restaurant’. All meals were borne out of meticulous research and development, which can sometimes take up to a year in planning! Since the average human being will lose between 30% and 50% of their taste ability when flying, the flavours and consistency are greatly considered to ensure that guests can savour this classic Hari Raya dish just like they would at home!

4. Value for money

Lemang with Chicken Rendang is available onboard all Malaysia AirAsia and AirAsia X flights (just look out for the code AK or D7 on your flight number). The meal goes for MYR 15 (à la carte) and MYR 18 (combo set with Tapioca BBQ Chips) on AK flights. For D7 flights, it is priced at MYR 20 (à la carte) and MYR 23 (combo set with Tapioca BBQ Chips), or you can also get a combo set with either Frontera Cabernet Sauvignon or Sauvignon Blanc (187ml) for only MYR 40.

5. Get into the festive season

Whether you are flying out for a business trip, on vacation, or back to your hometown for the celebrations, it doesn’t matter. Everybody is invited to get into the jolly raya spirit and what better way than filling up your tummy with Lemang with Chicken Rendang as you travel to your intended destination?

Get with the raya spirit and don’t miss out on the goodness! For more info on AirAsia’s inflight meals,  visit AirAsia.com.
