Do you have a sweet tooth? Then let’s head to Melbourne, a coastal city in Australia teeming with exciting culinary possibilities so we can explore some of the best desserts this city has to offer!

On Nom Kitchen

The desserts available at On Nom Kitchen will take you on a journey that engages with all your senses. Innovation is key at Melbourne’s first dedicated dessert bar, which constantly churns out beautifully crafted desserts. Choosing one dessert can be a challenge which is why I would recommend going for the dessert degustation. In this case, three desserts are definitely better than one.

Chin Chin

The pan-Asian inspired menu is the highlight at Chin Chin. The dessert selection here is just as drool-worthy. I ordered the Palm Sugar Ice Cream Sundae with salted honeycomb and lime syrup. The taste was sweet, bitter and salty. It was my first time experiencing such intense flavours mixed together, and I was pleasantly surprised. The modern Thai restaurant has built an impressive fan base both in Melbourne and Sydney. If you manage to get a table (good luck!) make sure to stick around for the food also!

The Meatball & Wine Bar

Your meal here won’t be complete if you didn’t order their famous Whoopie Macs. This is their classic twist on the ice cream sandwich. My only advice is to make sure you have enough room for dessert because their pasta and meatballs are so good, you’d probably end up ordering seconds.

Mövenpick Ice Cream

You can’t go wrong in an ice cream shop especially at a place like Mövenpick. Any flavour you choose is sure to be a winner but don’t settle for a cone or a cup with your ice cream. Go for the works that includes a waffle drizzled with luscious chocolate, fresh fruits and finally include that flavour of ice cream to go along with your confection set.

Walker’s Doughnuts

A 24-hour doughnut shop? Can Melbourne get any cooler? Go anytime of the day and enjoy a freshly baked doughnut. I would recommend their hot jam doughnuts but if you’re undecided then go crazy and choose any flavour. What could possibly go wrong?
