In conjunction with travel 3Sixty°’s magazine 10th anniversary, we held a 3-day carnival at Fahrenheit 88 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. There were musical performances, talks and fun games held at the event. AirAsia’s Fun Team was also there along with Assraf, the flight attendant who made global headlines with his dance performance inspired by Britney Spear’s Toxic music video.
We also gave away fantastic prizes that included flights tickets to Hawaii, free hotel stays in Bali and many more!
Here’s what went down at the 3-day event.
The magazine revealed an updated look that is more modern, sleek and reader friendly. Day 1’s event was officiated by the travel 3Sixty°’s publisher, AirAsia Berhad Executive Chairman and AirAsia X Group CEO, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun. It was also announced that the magazine now uses a lightweight matte paper that reduces its weight by 20 percent, which helps save jet fuel.
Besides the magazine, the event also saw the birth of a brand new travel3sixty.com, which now incorporates a transactional feature and mobile-first-approach to further improve user’s experience.
AirAsia’s Group Ceo, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes was present at Captain Lim and Captain Monika book launch. This is Captain Lim’s second book, entitled Sky Tales, he is also the author of Tales from the Sky. Burung Besi Monika is Captain Monika’s debut book and is available now in bookstores across Indonesia!
Through its #GirlsCanDoAnything campaign AirAsia continues its effort in inspiring young female talents. At the carnival, 30 female engineering students from Eleventh College, Universiti Putra Malaysia were invited for a special sharing session.
The session was presented by three AirAsia Allstars – Senior First Officer, Jessica Lee Suk Jin, Licensed Aircraft Engineer, Nur Husnina Binti Ismail and Crewing Duty Executive, Nurul Aishah Binti Mohd Jafri.
We ended our carnival with a bang! The day started with AirAsia’s Fun Team stopping traffic with their pulse pounding and energetic performance.
But that’s not all, we also held a recruitment drive in the form of a catwalk. There were more than 100 contestants that participated in the event! The contest was judged by Datuk Kamarudin Meranun and Benyamin Ismail, AirAsia X’s CEO along with the senior managers of the cabin crew department.
The final seven will be invited to AirAsia for an interview to stand a chance of becoming AirAsia’s cabin crew!
We thank everyone for making this event a success. Your support and words of encouragement really means a lot to the travel 3Sixty° family. We look forward to seeing everyone again in the near future!
